Kids of all ages enjoy learning sign language and HyperSign Jr uses the interactive capabilities of the computer to make learning easier and more fun!

Each word in the dictionary has been carefully chosen so that it is accompanied by an easily recognized picture communication symbol (PCS).
To see a full-motion color video of any sign, just click on its picture symbol. Watch it once or play it many times.

To add to the enjoyment of learning a new language, HyperSign Jr has three games - Tic Tac Toe, Match Game, and Which One? The games provide additional practice in recognizing signs and keep interest and motivation high.
The easy-to-use List Manager allows you to change the word lists used in the games.
The section on fingerspelling is always popular with children. Fingerspelling is used when there is no sign available for the word - such as proper names and places.

An option to view text and instructions in Spanish is also included.
The video clips in the dictionary were taken from the laser disc produced by the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester, New York and used with their permission.
